(CCFE; also known as “Custody Evaluation”) is a professional service that has the goal of providing the court an improved understanding of a child’s needs when the parents of that child are not in agreement as to how best to care for him or her.
CCFE is a detailed report that answers questions posed by the court regarding the apportionment of parenting rights and responsibilities. It will likely require a lengthy process of interviews, observation, review of past records including but not limited to legal, medical, academic and psychological materials.
