Kids frequently seek control in their interactions with their parents. This control is expressed in arguing, resistance, oppositionality, defiance, to name but a few. It is developmtally normal and, let’s face it, kind of annoying. It can often care across as manipulative (which, technically, it is). Hang in there though, it all has a purpose!
